Homing Rockets are a family of bombs that fly through the air and home in on players. If a crosshair appears on your avatar, it means that one has targeted you. They can also carry certain bombs, such as, but not limited to Destroyers, Discombobulators and Zappers in Intensity 4.5 or higher, being most common in Intensity 6.0. The bomb is dropped if the Homing Rocket carrying it explodes; otherwise it will stay on the Homing Rocket until it explodes and disappears.
Homing Rocket[]
These deal 15 damage and lock onto a random player as soon as it spawns. These have a High Intensity variant that is larger and deals more damage, but are also slower.
Chaser Rocket[]
This rocket functions the same as a Homing Rocket, except that it targets a player that is closest to it rather than having it locked onto one specific player for the rest of its duration. These move slightly faster than a Homing Rocket and deal 15 damage. These also have a High Intensity variant.
Fast Homing Rocket[]
This rocket is smaller but much faster. They deal 10 damage and have a smaller blast radius.
Ice Chaser[]
This rocket behaves like the Chaser Rocket. It deals no damage upon contact, but freezes the players and terrain around it.
Shock Chaser[]
This rocket behaves like the Chaser Rocket. It deals no damage upon contact, but stuns players and electrifies the terrain around it.
Survival Tips[]
- The Super Magnet can pull in Homing Rockets, letting you get away while they are stuck to the magnet.
- Try to overtake another player if Chaser Rockets, Shock Chasers or Ice Chasers are onto you so that they target them instead of you.
- If you see a crosshair appear on your character, look out for Homing Rockets.
- Bubble Barrier can protect you from these quite well.
- Homing Rockets carrying Spike Grenades will be able to pop the barrier, which you should be wary of.
- If a Homing Rocket is following you, try to get a wall between it and you. They cannot follow you if a wall is in the way.
- These will soon explode by themselves, so just keep running if all else fails.
- Using Expert's Touch will prevent these from exploding when touching you, so you can even ride them. Do note that they can still explode on their own.
- Using Unseen makes you completely undetectable to the rockets. You can still make them explode by touching them.
- If everyone in the server is using these, Homing Rockets and their variants will never spawn.
- Using Bomb Vision displays all nearby Homing Rocket locations. This is handy when you see the crosshair on your body, but are unsure of where the rocket is.
Trivia[]
- The old version of the Homing Rocket resembles the Rocket ammo of the Rocket Launcher from ROBLOX Battle.
- This was commonly known as the Homing Missile. However, it is labelled as Homing Rocket with Bomb Vision.
- The term 'Homing Missile' now more commonly refers to the Homing Missile skill.
